Intro/Teaser Trailer Draft

Intro/Teaser Trailer Draft

The Intro Trailer will connect FoA and FoA2. It is also scheduled to be released as a non-interactive demo ("Teaser Trailer") before the full game is released.

FoA2 will then commence with a "semi-interactive" intro sequence similar to FoA, allowing for credits to be displayed. After that, the player will be transferred to the first scenario that has full interaction (toolbar and inventory).

INT. COLOSSUS DOCKING BAY

ZOOM IN Indy Title Logo.

The walkways and entrances near the German submarine are swarming with soldiers. Piled in front of the U-Boat are several large crates. Since not all of them have yet been sealed, we can see that they are filled to the top with orichalcum beads.

An OFFICER is supervising the activities. He approaches a young Wehrmacht SERGEANT.

OFFICER
Gather your men and pick up the last two crates.

SERGEANT
(very eagerly)
Jawohl, Herr Leutnant!
The SERGEANT shouts something like "You four - follow me!" and heads towards one of the exits in the background.

CUT TO:

INT. COLOSSUS INNER CIRCLE - GOD ROOM

The scene is all too familiar. SOPHIA is being guarded by Nazi soldiers, and INDY is standing on the pedestal racking his brain for a way to convince Dr. UBERMANN that he would make a much better god.

Eventually, UBERMANN forces INDY to get off the pedestal and feeds the frog statue with orichalcum beads. Then he steps on the pedestal. He raises his hands, obviously enjoying this moment.

UBERMANN
Prepare to feel my wrath!

CUT TO:

INT. COLOSSUS OUTER CIRCLE - STORAGE ROOM

Among heaps of crumbled furniture and decayed garbage two large wooden crates are standing in the middle of the room. The German SERGEANT enters the room, followed by his four subordinates. He takes off his cap and scratches his head, thus revealing his red hair. When he steps closer towards the crates we can also make out his freckled face.

SERGEANT
These are the last of them.

The soldiers get both crates and head back to the docking bay, to bring them on the sub. The SERGEANT puts his cap back on and snips an imaginary dust particle from his uniform, then turns and leaves the room.

CUT TO:

INT. COLOSSUS INNER CIRCLE - GOD ROOM

We witness once more as UBERMANN turns into a foul spirit, roaming around the room and finally vanishing in a swarm of sparks. Immediately afterwards, the Colossus starts to collapse. The Nazi soldiers get killed by walls caving in and stones falling from the ceiling, INDY and SOPHIA make for the exit.

CUT TO:

INT. COLOSSUS OUTER CIRCLE, PERIMETER WALKWAY

A terrifying burst shatters the surroundings, just as the small German detachment with their crates is outside the storage room. Walls collapse, rivulets of lava begin to block the passage.

SERGEANT
(screaming at the top of his lungs)
Hurry up! Don't let go of the crates!

CUT TO:

INT. COLOSSUS WATER CHANNEL

INDY and SOPHIA are just past the crab raft, and are running up the stairs. The water is bubbling madly as the fish head in the background is spitting lava.

CUT TO:

INT. COLOSSUS DOCKING BAY

Colossus Docking Bay.

INDY and SOPHIA jump down from the platform at the entrance, and run for the submarine. Technical equipment and supplies from the German sub are littering the floor. Among them is a massive radio set.

Seconds later, the SERGEANT and his MEN arrive and find the last steps to the sub blocked by boulders falling from the ceiling, and more lava pouring in. Right before their eyes, a massive wall collapses, revealing a tunnel. The SERGEANT and two of the SOLDIERS run for cover, leaving their crate on top of the platform, next to the entrance door.

SERGEANT
(pointing at the radio)
Forget about the orichalcum, get the radio instead!

One of the SOLDIERS grabs the radio and follows the SERGEANT. The other two SOLDIERS still up on the platform struggle to carry the second crate down the slope. By doing so, they are caught by the lava and fall into one of the cracks in the floor.

CUT TO:

INT. COLOSSUS OUTER CIRCLE - OVERHEAD MAP

From above, we watch how the three remaining Germans enter the tunnel opposite to the train route to Crete.

Colossus escape route.

CUT TO:

INT. COLOSSUS - ESCAPE TRAIN STATION

Realising that his men, who are terrified and confused from the havoc surrounding them, are about to panic, the SERGEANT is using his pistol to force them to enter the train.

SERGEANT
Schnell!

Then he starts the flight by inserting an orichalcum bead and jumps on the train.

As the Colossus collapses, the vessel rapidly gains speed and vanishes into the depths of the Atlantean traffic grid. Behind it, the tunnel is filled with lava and boulders, blocking the entire passage.

CUT TO:

INT. UNKNOWN GRID STATION

A dimly lit cave or chamber. Cracks in the rocky ceiling allow a few streaks of sunlight to illuminate the cavern. The train arrives and stops in the middle of the room, although the tracks are leading onwards into another tunnel. The SOLDIERS slowly leave the train, still dazzled from the ride. Breaking the sudden silence we hear the SERGEANT'S voice, who has taken off his cap again and nervously plays with it in his hands.

SERGEANT
The flashlight, where's the flashlight?

After a moment the spot of a flashlight appears, then another. The SOLDIERS point them here and there to inspect their surroundings when their SERGEANT speaks again.

SERGEANT
I need some light here!

The two spots concentrate on the SERGEANT who is kneeling on the floor in front of the radio set. He radios for help in the vain hope to get in contact with someone around this forlorn and alien place. His voice is trembling when he takes off his earphones and looks at the others.

SERGEANT
There is one of our subs in a nearby strait. They are going to send a rescue party.

Relieved gasps of the other SOLDIERS. The SERGEANT gets on his feet again.

SERGEANT
Very well. Let's search for an exit and get to the surface.
